I RULE THE DOG PARK.

It's true. Mommy took me with Willow and Bart to the dog park today. She'd gotten me a muzzle b/c sometimes I have a way of looking like I can't control myself, and I did NOT like it, but anything to get to go so I was good about wearing it. For a minute. Was snarling and barking and then she put me down and I ran over and started sniffing people. It was SO FUN! Then after about 30 seconds I ran over to a deserted part and got my muzzle off and no one noticed for a minute, but I was on such good behavior it didn't matter! I had the best time, and got to meet lots of new people. I wouldn't call them friends, but they were okay. Auntie Mo and Uncle George went, too, and they were nice to wait for me to finishing playing before we left. Matteo had lots of fun and Willow drooled a lot. And sat on the bench next to Mommy. She's a wet, drool-covered blanket. I can't wait to go back!

I have a blog?

Apparently, I forgot I have a blog. I know Mommy writes in her blog quite often, but I am usually too busy, what with all the barking, patrolling and monitoring I do around the apartment. Recently, I was had a psychotic break and bit another dog in the neighborhood. I'm not sure why I did it, b/c I know her and she's very nice, if a little too bouncy. I just did it. I won't listen to Mommy at all when I get in a rage. Mommy and Daddy took me to an inpatient mental health facility and it was very confusing at first. I liked the nice man that spent time with me, and learned some new things about listening and paying more attention to Mommy and Daddy. I was SO excited when they came to get me that I was shaking and gurgling and making a crazy face, hugging one while looking at the other and then switching back and forth. I've not been the best boy since I came home, but I've been trying. I went to the dog park a month ago, but it was too overwhelming and no one was listening and I felt like I should make sure everyone did what they were supposed to do, but Mommy wouldn't let me off the bench. She got me a little mask to wear, so maybe when it stops raining some day I can go back and try harder to be patient with my underlings.

My favorite aunt and uncle are coming to visit in a few weeks. I hear she is sick. I sure hopes she feels better! Mommy was very sick about 2 weeks ago and was coughing up green and red stuff. It made me really scared, but she feels mostly better now so that's good.

Cooler Weather

The weather is a lot cooler today than last week. When Mommy got up this morning, I was very patient and let her have her OJ but then I wanted to go out, so I kept hitting her arm and quivering in her lap until she got the hint. My sister and I went out and did our business pretty quickly, and then we went on a nice walk through the neighborhood. None of my friends or enemies were out this morning, so I was really well-behaved and quiet.

I think we are going on a trip to visit Paige and Neil in Alabama tomorrow if Daddy's work gets under control. Apparently, some people live in a place called Houston and are all bent out of shape that they don't have telephone service. I don't think they have electricity, either, so I'm not sure what they'd do with connectivity. Stupid humans. Monster is on the deck, Willow is on the sofa and Elvis is in my crate. *sigh* I hate him.

Mommy and Daddy have finally addressed my sister's pudgerina status. It sucks. We don't get gooshy food anymore, and the only people food we've gotten in 2 days was half a chicken strip. I think we got that b/c I stood on the sofa, with my mouth about a foot away from Mommy's face, and growled. I'll have to try that again tonight. My sister went on food protest for 2 days, but this morning she was so hungry that without thinking she ate her food! I eat mine in the mornings b/c I'm hungry and b/c it isn't bad, but it is very filling. Mommy put down a little more for us when we finished our 1/2 day's rations since we ate it all up, but I think it is going to sit there b/c my sister went back in the bedroom and is pouting on the bed. Dumb dog.

If you had to immigrate from your current home, where in the world would you choose to go?

I guess I'd want to go somewhere that wasn't to hot or crowded. Ireland would be nice, but I'd need to be independently wealthy so I didn't have to worry about working.

Gonna try and post a bit more

And a "bit more" would be "ever," I guess!

It is a bit chilly ths morning, but Mommy brought out the fluffly pink blanket, so I'm sitting all toasty, watching Mike & Mike in the Morning with her on TV while she gets some stuff done. I think she's doing laundry b/c it smells all flowery out there, and I know she scooped poop b/c it smells less interesting in the mudroom.

I saw my ArchNemesis yesterday and told him some stuff, but he was too afraid to come down the hill, and Mommy made me go inside to preserve his dignity.

All those people walking in our yard, coming to our door, knocking on it - I'm going to lose my marbles! I think I might be hoarse by the end of the night.

My poor mommy

She was awful sick today. She had a follow-up appt with the surgeon, but woke up at 6:30 throwing up so she rescheduled it. She has a fever over 100 and one of THOSE headaches (glad doggies don't get those). She threw up all morning after taking a no-barfing-pill that apparently didn't work, then lay in the bed with a wet towel over her head until I jumped on her stomach to make sure she was alive. She got up and got us food then lay back down so I slept with her until about 5P when she got up, threw up and took a bath. She did choke down some cereal and is doing homework now. I wish daddy was home b/c he always makes her feel better, but he had to go to Atlanta. I'm trying to convince her to order a pizza, and to help out I chased Monster and pulled some fur out of his leg.

I don't think I smell anymore

However, I think I heard Mommy telling someone it was amazing how I smell bad after a day away from the spa. I'm ignoring that. Daddy left for a far away place today and won't be home until Friday night. We miss him already and I know mommy does, too. Willow is pouting on the end of the bed and didn't even eat all her breakfast. We did get a nice walk this morning with mommy, but she got frustrated with us when we chased a squirrel.

I smell.

I hate to admit it. I thought it was my sister. She smells, too, for the record. I think Mommy is taking us to the Petsmart Spa tomorrow. I hate that place b/c they squeeze my butt and trim my nails. But Mommy gives us lots of treats when we get home, so I guess it is worth it.

I love weekends!

It is really beautiful out today, and Mommy is doing homework so I can burrow under the pillows and go outside when I want.

Mommy and Daddy worked on the atrium area yesterday for quite a while. It was a mess from the flood, so they first swept really well and put all the poo and leaves in the big hole. Then Mommy squirted Willow and the bricks while Daddy squeegeed it all into the hole. Then they shoveled and raked 2 trashbags full of stinky leaves and poo. It is about 30% empty, now, so maybe we can play out there next weekend.

The bad news, however, is that Mommy won't let us run through the house anymore without supervision b/c of Willow. She had to put up the gate again on the bedroom door and I'm mad at Willow b/c she is so bad.

She also takes my candy.

Exciting Day!

Yesterday, I conned Mommy into taking me with her to CarMax with Uncle Dave. It was so very fun - I got to pee on their grass, and everyone thought I was cute. I had some peanut butter crackers and water, and got to walk around and look at cars. Uncle Dave bought a new car, and it has lots of room for me to ride and walk around in when we go on trips. Then I was very very tired, so Mommy brought me home and I slept for a while so I had lots of energy to run and play with Willow when everyone got home.

Today, I'm relaxing on the bed, lying on clean laundry and watching the NASCAR race at Bristol. Mikey isn't in it, and Dale Jarrett just got wrecked, so Mommy's pissed, and I'm pissed, too!

Today is Auntie Mo's birthday!

She's old, apparently, although she doesn't seem any different to me. I know Shadow is older than she is, and so is Uncle Dave.

Mommy went to Central Market today and got scared by a deranged bunny cake.

She's sick today. She woke me up at 2:30AM b/c she was throwing up and it appears she has one of Those Headaches again. I cannot know but I'll spend the day with her in the bed if that's what she wants. Monster and Elvis keep needing The Sheriff to break up their tiffs and Willow is still out of sorts. Shadow is his usual grumpy self, and Mommy caught him drinking ooky water out of a bowl in the sink so she fussed with him.

I am a little sad, though, b/c I can't read the dessert boxes anymore. Mommy put them up on a table so now I'll have to eat those treats she gives me instead. :(

Today was her birthday and she had the (nearly) worst day, ever. I'm not sure why it is a bad thing, but she gets to stay home with me now until she finds another job. I hope she never does, but apparently Daddy and Mommy both think that would be bad. *shrug* Oh well!

On a positive note, I had my favorite aunt and uncle over this weekend and it was very fun. There was lots of attention, treats and excitement. I also love fried turkey. MMM-MMM!

I'm glad she liked them. I slept next to my mommy for about 3 hours, then sneezed in the bathroom while she took a bath. Now I'm going to go scratch and nest on her recliner in the bedroom, including yanking on my binky with my teeth to get it JUST RIGHT.

Mommy is home today

I can like it when Mommy is home, even when she doesn't feel well. That might sound selfish, but I think she feels better when I boss myself under the covers and lie next to her tummy. And now our Uncle is home, too, and he always gives us lots of attention! Daddy was home for half the day, but he had to go to work. Is it 6PM yet? We miss him!
